November is National Novel Writing Month. Why November, which is short and has a major holiday weekend, I don't know...but I wrote the first draft of They All Died Smiling, and this year, I'm working on the sequel,
The challenge is to pound out the first draft of a novel, roughly 50,000 words, during a month. This means a lot of butt in seat, a lot of planning, and a whole lot of focus. And I'm up to the challenge again.
Updates along the Way
I'll share updates on my progress write here...uh...right here...on WriteOnPurpose.com. You'll see things like:
- Goal progress updatew
- Character studies
- Snippets from the book
- Triumphs and Tribulations
If you are a writer interested in trying this, go to NaNoWriMo.org and sign up. It's free, and there are cool prizes if you win by completing 50,000 words.
